Celebrating the Women of FCA

Teresa Thiele is the Co-Chairwoman of the Women’s Alliance at FCA US LLC

Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987.

Today, our observance of Women’s History Month is fueled by our Women’s Alliance Business Resource Group, one of 10 affinity groups active in the Company that celebrate multicultural differences and support the career development of members.

The mission of the Women’s Alliance is to foster a collaborative environment at FCA to enable women to develop professionally and to become leaders at both work and in the community.

To put that mission into action, three years ago members designed a unique training and development program for early-to-mid career women, a segment that often experiences factors that limit their career trajectories, called the Women’s Leadership Experience. The program’s third cohort will launch later this month as part of the celebration of Women’s History Month.

Going a step further, the group is hosting their second annual Women’s Alliance Leadership Summit, a day-and-a-half workshop filled with speakers and breakout sessions geared toward lessons attendees can immediately apply to their professional and personal lives. The Summit’s theme of “Own Your …” represents the idea that all women should be encouraged to take charge and own all aspects of their life and career: Own Your Future. Own Your Vision as Leaders. Own Your Value as Members of the FCA Team.

In honor of International Women’s Day, we encourage all women, not just those within FCA, to think about the power behind this theme and ways to apply it both personally and professionally. The impact that women bring to our organization and beyond is limitless.
