Ram is changing the way people think about trucks.
More people are switching to Ram than ever before and in a new campaign called “Step up to the New Standard” debuting to align with Ram Truck Month, in a series of spots that showcase how Ram is challenging convention in the truck segment. A 30-second spot in the campaign, “The Truck You Need” celebrates the brand’s sales climb to #2 pickup in the country by continuing to lead the way and on delivering the performance, luxury, comfort and safety features that more and more truck customers are looking for.
The campaign highlights key third-party accolades and awards across the lineup that reflect this new standard. Back-to-back Motor Trend awards for Best Truck of the Year and Cars.com choice for 2020 Luxury Car of the Year. The Ram 1500 was the first truck ever to win this award. In 2019, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) also gave the Ram 1500 its highest possible ratings in each of the six crashworthiness tests.
Some of the most compelling features cited in the accolades that make the Ram 1500 and HD models so attractive and appealing include twice the interior storage capacity offered by the competition, a unique multifunction tailgate that gives greater flexibility for easy loading and unloading, a smooth, comfortable ride thanks to a segment-exclusive link-coil rear suspension system, and a cabin interior that surrounds driver and passengers in true luxury with premium wood, leather, metal and chrome finishes in the 2020 1500 Longhorn and Limited trims.
