FCA Minivans Rack Up Another Leadership Milestone

Inventor, innovator, leader of the pack! How many minivan makers can make these claims? Just one!

And now the Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Hybrid, Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Voyager minivan family is celebrating another one-of-a-kind milestone, surpassing the 15 million mark in minivans sold. That’s more than twice as many minivans sold as any other manufacturer over 35 years, giving our minivans a current 54% market share.

Six generations of families have fueled our ‘ownership’ of the minivan segment since 1983, when the first Plymouth Voyager minivan rolled off the line at Windsor Assembly Plant.

We continue to be ‘leader of the pack’ with more than 115 innovation ‘firsts’ that make family road trips even more comfortable, safer, convenient and fun for everyone on board, including the class-exclusive Stow ‘n Go seating and storage system, Uconnect Theatre, hands-free sliding doors and the only hybrid electric powertrain in the segment with the introduction of the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid in 2017.

And let’s not forget three-and-a-half decades of memories made on the road traveling to that special family vacation, sports event or maybe bringing home your brand new puppy.

Speaking of new, a fresh, new look is joining the current Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Hybrid, Voyager and Dodge Grand Caravan lineup. The Red S Edition package features Rodeo Red premium Nappa leather two-tone seats, an ‘S’ logo on the seatbacks and a big burst of red accents throughout the interior and exterior. The package is available on both gas and hybrid models. Ordering for 2020 gas models is now open at Chrysler dealerships.

Chrysler is turning up the heat in the minivan segment, adding a new Red S Edition for the 2020 model year.

A special Employee Price incentive on a 2020 gas-powered Chrysler Pacifica is currently available from participating dealers, and is open to employees and non-employees alike.
