Truck Thursday: Jeep® Gladiator allows you to take your music with you

The all-new 2020 Jeep® Gladiator offers a number of unique, creative and innovative features in the second row, but there’s only one that can keep customers “rocking out” after they’ve conquered rock formations.

2020 Jeep® Gladiator Bluetooth speaker

Nestled behind the Gladiator’s foldable, second-row seats is a removable wireless speaker. The built-in, removable weatherproof speaker is unique in the Jeep lineup and exclusive to the Gladiator.

“This wireless speaker behaves like any other after-market speaker but the difference is it has smart charging so it will always be charged,” said Elizabeth Krear, model responsible, Jeep Gladiator. “It’s smart in the sense that it only charges when its low.”

The Bluetooth speaker can be connected to a smartphone and, to make the speaker even more efficient, power is only sent to the docking station when the speaker is installed.

When charged, the speaker is perfect for picnics, campfires or just relaxing by the water. Since the speaker can be removed and placed in the elements, designers used gold contact points to deter it from rust.

It’s also as durable as the Jeep Gladiator with a high level of dust protection and water resistance of up to three feet for 30 minutes.

Hello from the Motor City! I’m Edward Cardenas and I’m multimedia editor for Stellantis. As a lifelong Detroiter, I have been surrounded by the automotive industry. I’ve had members of my immediate and extended family work in the industry. I’ve covered it as a journalist and advocated for it as a communications professional. I have also experienced the thrills of the industry while riding in a race car at nearly 200 miles per hour. Having this breadth of experience, I look forward to drawing upon my experiences to bring a wide range of stories, photos and videos about Chrysler, FIAT and Alfa Romeo to Stellantis Digital Media. When I’m not covering my brands, I’m spending time with my wife and two boys.
