An Artistic Challenger

Artists see potential and challenge in a blank canvas.

What if the canvas is a 2015 Dodge Challenger? Competitors on the tattoo series “Ink Master” are about to show us.

And here’s a twist: You can win a 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker wrapped in the winning design chosen by “Ink Master” series host Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction) and judges and renowned tattoo artists Chris Nunez (“Miami Ink”) and Oliver Peck (Elm Street Tattoo).

The episode airs Tuesday, Sept. 1, on the Spike network at 10 p.m. Eastern. But you can see a preview now.

In the episode’s “Flash Challenge,” the nine remaining artists are divided into three teams. They’re challenged to create a design that covers the entire Challenger, using spray paint and markers.

To enter, go to www.inkedchallenger.spike.com after the episode airs and correctly answer some “Ink Master” trivia questions. The deadline to enter is Sept. 25, and each person is allowed only one entry.

The winner of a most-unique Dodge Challenger will be announced during the show’s live season finale in October.

Do you know your blood type? Mine is 100 octane (not your standard blood bank classification). At any given moment, I’m thinking about cars – driving one, fixing one, buying one or (in my dreams) restoring one. So I love to tell stories that involve horsepower, brake and wheel diameters and 0-to-60 times – and the people who make it happen. Because behind every awesome vehicle are amazing people with vision and the desire to make it a reality. I cover Mopar, Dodge, SRT and motorsports for Stellantis Digital Media. I learned to drive on a 1973 Jeep CJ-5 with the rare Super Jeep option package and three-speed manual transmission. I still belong to the dwindling club of people who prefer to shift their own gears, and think the best way to drive is with the top down!
