A World of Music at Your Fingertips

There’s a saying out there that “music is good for the soul.” We happen to agree, which is why a new world of music is now available in your next vehicle. Chrysler Group is expanding your array of music and entertainment options by putting a new Internet radio listening experience at your fingertips – included for five years*.

If you are tired of flipping radio stations or searching for the right music to suit your mood, then we have the solution for you. Now you’ll have access to your own personal Internet playlists and stations through touchscreen and steering wheel controls. It’s called ‘Uconnect Access via Mobile’ and it’s a service available in several Chrysler Group vehicles, including 2014 Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, 2013 & 2014 Ram 1500 and SRT Viper.

You will be able to connect and control your personal Pandora, iHeart Radio, Slacker Radio or Aha Radio accounts using the vehicle’s Uconnect system.

The service is included for five years, starting at the date of original vehicle purchase. The qualifying vehicles include those with a Uconnect 8.4AN or 8.4A system.

With Via Mobile, personalization is easy. Drivers using Pandora can indicate their preferences by hitting the app’s familiar buttons – “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” – which are displayed on the touch screen.

In addition to “thumbs” features, iHeartRadio users can also save their favorite channels under “My Stations” for quick access and can further personalize their listening experience by using iHeartRadio’s exclusive Discovery Tuner to control music variety.

Slacker Radio gives drivers more than 300 handcrafted stations that adapt to their tastes, as they “heart” favorite tracks, and “ban” songs they don’t want to hear again.

Aha Radio makes it easy to instantly access your favorite web content on the go. Choose from over 40,000 stations spanning internet radio, podcasts, audiobooks, Facebook, Twitter, personalized local restaurant, hotel, parks, weather and fuel prices search.

To get connected, vehicle owners need to spend a few minutes online downloading the Uconnect Access app to a compatible smartphone, registering with Uconnect Access and setting-up a Via Mobile profile, which includes linking your personal Pandora, iHeartRadio, Slacker or Aha Radio accounts with your vehicle. Set-up instructions can be found at DriveUconnect.com.

Once inside your vehicle, make sure your mobile phone is paired to the vehicle’s Uconnect system and that the Uconnect Access app is launched. From there, your smartphone’s data plan will do the rest. The Internet Radio apps, which Chrysler Group has redesigned for the road, are ready for some serious channel surfing. Put your mobile phone away, focus on the drive and begin discovering a new world of music and entertainment at your fingertips.
