More Than Just Pretty in Pink

Not only is it pretty, but the pink light radiating from Chrysler World Headquarters is serving a purpose. October is breast cancer awareness month and to help shine a light on the issue, the Chrysler Pentastar is awash with pink.

The company is beginning a month-long campaign, not only to help promote breast cancer awareness, but to bring attention to the importance of early detection, treatment and prevention of the disease.

Chrysler Group plans to conduct a series of information seminars for employees and will even offer breast cancer screenings. It’s part of the company’s long-standing commitment to promoting and supporting the health and wellness of our employees, their families and the community.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. About one in eight women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime.

Chrysler Group joins countless other companies that are thinking pink. Hungry Howies hopes to help take a bite out of the disease with its pink pizza boxes. The NFL is scoring with its “Crucial Catch” campaign and perhaps you’ve taken steps to raise awareness by participating in one of the many breast cancer awareness walks.

However you choose to offer support, Chrysler Group is asking our community to show us your pink. How are you raising breast cancer awareness? Use the #BreastCancerAwareness and #ChryslerCares hashtags to tell your story on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Google+.

Together, we can continue to enlighten everyone about the importance of early detection, treatment and prevention of breast cancer.
