Fiat Revolution

The rumors started earlier this summer that the Italians were coming and boy, have they arrived.

This month, the FIAT brand posted its best month of sales since launching the Fiat 500 in the U.S. in 2011. How did FIAT accomplish this in only two short years? Many thanks belong to the all-new Fiat 500L, a five-passenger vehicle flashing Italian style and efficiency.

The FIAT sales momentum is also the result of high studio performance, like FIAT of Austin, which is celebrating an all-time U.S. sales record of 112 Fiat 500s sold in the month of August. That’s more than three FIAT sales a day from one studio!

FIAT of Austin General Manager Lisa Copeland says the group of customers that love the Italian style of the 500, but need more space and flexibility for their everyday drive, can’t wait to get into the newest member of the FIAT family, the 500L.

Copeland says FIAT of Austin sold 31 Fiat 500Ls in August – one for every day of the month. The hottest color at the studio is Blu Chiaro (light blue). The studio also sold 81 Fiat 500 models. The most popular color? Verde Chiaro (light green).

Soon there will be even more Fiat 500 models to choose from. The 2013 Fiat 500 Cattiva arrives in showrooms this month.
Also expanding the FIAT lineup? The 2014 Fiat 500c GQ Edition, which will begin arriving in showrooms in early 2014.

FIAT of Austin was the first studio in the country to sell more than 100 “Cinquecentos” last year.

So when you hear that the Italians are coming, rest assured that they’re already well established, especially in Austin, Texas.
