Safety and Security First

The all-new Jeep® Compass continues to make international inroads, not only in terms of production and sales, but also safety and security technology. The model has just been awarded a five-star safety rating – the highest possible rating – in tests carried out by Euro NCAP. The independent European organization awarded the Compass high scores for adult, child and pedestrian protection, as well as for its range of high-tech driving assistance safety systems.

The Euro NCAP testing has become tougher in 2017, making the result even more impressive. The new protocol places greater emphasis on active safety technologies, with the Jeep offering more than 70 safety and security systems. In Europe, the Compass offers a wide range of standard and optional innovations to assist drivers, including Forward Collision Warning-Plus, LaneSense Lane Departure Warning-Plus, adaptive cruise control, Rear Cross Path detection and Blind-spot Monitoring. Six airbags are fitted as standard, while every Compass sold in Europe is also equipped with the Jeep brand’s electronic rollover mitigation (ERM) technology.

Compass is now the second best-selling nameplate for the Jeep brand in markets outside of North America, with over 60,000 units sold in 2017.
