Minivan Monday: Last Day to Get Your ‘Permission Slips’ Signed for a Chrysler Pacifica ‘Field Trip’

Chrysler’s pint-sized product specialists, the PacifiKids, have introduced the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica to a number of celebrities, including Jodie Sweetin, Brooklyn Decker, Jack Osbourne and Jennie Garth in a series of YouTube videos.

The Chrysler brand’s PacifiKids took over Victorville Motors (Calif.) in hidden camera stunt on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.

The Chrysler brand’s PacifiKids took over Victorville Motors (Calif.) in hidden camera stunt.

The trio of automotive specialists, Harper, Izzy and Miles, were joined by some new colleagues in a recent takeover of a dealership in California. These young – but knowledgeable and articulate minivan lovers – highlighted the various features of the entirely redesigned minivan to families shopping for a new Chrysler Pacifica.

The dealership takeover kicked off a kid-themed, six-week digital and social campaign during which consumers can fill out an entry form, also known as a “Permission Slip,” for an opportunity to win an ultimate “Field Trip” with a Chrysler Pacifica, as well as a variety of prizes.

There are a number of opportunities to take part in the fun, and possibly take home a new Pacifica, including:

  • Residents of Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, and communities within 100 miles of each city center, can fill out a “Permission Slip” available on thepacifikids.com. One family from each market will be chosen to be eligible for a one day “Field Trip” to videotape their experiences with the minivan and the chance to win an all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The deadline for the ultimate family “Field Trip” ends today, Oct. 17, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. EST.Pacifickids receptionist.
  • The video captured during each of the winning families’ ultimate “Field Trip” will be posted on thepacifikids.com on Nov. 12, 2016 12 a.m. EST. Votes can then be cast on the website for the family they think had the best field trip. The family with the most votes will win an all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.
  • Those who vote for any of the “Field Trip” videos will also have a chance to win an all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. One voter, randomly selected from all people who have cast a vote for any of the “Field Trip” videos, will be awarded an all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The winning family and the one voter will be announced the week of Nov. 21, 2016.
  • Consumers in 10 markets, and communities within 100 miles of the city center of Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Phoenix and San Francisco, can also submit “Permission Slips” for a week-long “Extended Test Drive” in the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. Twenty-one entrants will be chosen for an “Extended Test Drive.” The deadline to enter for the one-week “Extended Test Drive” ends on Oct. 26, 2016.
  • Official contest rules can be found at thepacifikids.com.

Since the PacifiKids were introduced in May, they have taken part in videos showcasing some of the Pacifica’s 37 minivan firsts, family events and product events such as the dealership takeover:

Hello from the Motor City! I’m Edward Cardenas and I’m multimedia editor for Stellantis. As a lifelong Detroiter, I have been surrounded by the automotive industry. I’ve had members of my immediate and extended family work in the industry. I’ve covered it as a journalist and advocated for it as a communications professional. I have also experienced the thrills of the industry while riding in a race car at nearly 200 miles per hour. Having this breadth of experience, I look forward to drawing upon my experiences to bring a wide range of stories, photos and videos about Chrysler, FIAT and Alfa Romeo to Stellantis Digital Media. When I’m not covering my brands, I’m spending time with my wife and two boys.
