Upping the ante on a legend

How do you build on a legend? Start with a careful eye for detail. For the new 2017 Ram Truck Power Wagon, introduced at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, the bar was especially high with the Power Wagon’s proven workhorse reputation stretching all the way back to World War II.

For the exterior design team, a big nod to the 1979-80 “Macho Power Wagon” is seen in the wheels, colors, legacy graphics and a fresh new grille.

Meanwhile, the interior design team opened a new ‘chapter’ in the Power Wagon’s ongoing legacy, in part, creating seating that speaks to the Power Wagon’s capability in a way no other heavy-duty truck on the market does. The Power Wagon’s Chief Interior Designer Ryan Nagode takes us through that creative process from first thought to finished product.
